How to start a blog

Starting something is always the hardest part. Here are some ideas for blogging.

Why do you want to have a blog?
Ask your self why you want to have a blog. There can be several reasons to have a blog and have different impact on the choices for starting the blog.

• To share interests on a topic
• To earn money online
• To become famous
• To discuss your routine on it

If you want to keep your blog to discuss your routine on it you may not have much to worry about the URL and Search Engine Optimization. However if you want to be famous or earn money then you need to make 

sure your blog appears higher up on the search engines too.

Free or Paid Hosting:

You can choose to start your first blog without spending a single coin :). Blogger and wordpress are most famous for hosting blogs. The blog you currently are on is hosted on Blogger. It is worth noting that blogger and blogspot are one and the same (blogspot redirects to blogger)

Select a URL:

This is very interesting and tricky part of making a blog. Name must be easy to remember and likely to be hit by search engine keywords. Also it really helps if the name is related to the topic. It is worth noting that you need to choose a name that isn't of an already existing blog.

Search Engine Optimization:

Search Engine Optimization or SEO is the process of making your website appear more often on search engines. Usually we choose one of the first few links that appear on our search.

Write your first article:

Just go ahead and write your first article. It doesn't need to be perfect the first time. Just go ahead and make the mark. By the way its my first blog as well, and my first article on it. Wish you best of luck on your venture for making your own blog.
